Determining Average Production and Reserve Numbers - Using Lists
This example shows you how to use the EDGE as a benchmarking tool, by determining average and total production and reserve numbers for any given field, zone, play, area, etc.
Question
What are some average production and reserve numbers for the 2nd White Specks in the Elkwater Field?
Step 1 - Specify the Search Parameters
From the search screen, enter the following criteria into the General Information search box.

Step 2 - Execute the Search
To perform the search, check the execute box located above the search screen.

When the execution is complete, the number of records found will appear in the Records Found box. (Please note: The number of records found will vary depending on which EDGE release you are using.)

Step 3 - Sort and Total Average Production Numbers
Select (click on) the tab.
From the Producing Zones menu, select the text box, to display the sort options.
Select IP Gas. (The Elkwater 2nd White Specks is a gas field.)
The list will re-sort all wells from highest to lowest initial production. Note that initial production for the top well was over 1,000 mcf/d.

Now, check the View Totals text box, to display the sort options.
The following summary table will display at the bottom of the screen, providing both totals and averages for initial and cumulative production.

Step 4 - Sort and Total Average Reserve Numbers
Select (click on) the tab.
From the Producing Zones menu, select the text box to display the sort options.
Select Remaining Reserves Gas. (The Elkwater 2nd White Specks is a gas field.)

The list will re-sort all wells from highest to lowest remaining reserves. Note that the top well has over 2,000 mmcf of remaining gas.

Now, check the View Totals text box, to display the sort options.
The following summary table will display at the bottom of the screen, providing both totals and averages for ultimate recoverables, cumulative production and remaining hydrocarbons. An average reserve life index, cost per boe, and total costs are also provided.
