Drilling and Abandonment Cost per Meter
(D & A cost/m)
The average cost per meter to drill and abandon a given well. Drilling and abandonment costs are assigned to each well event based on the play to which they correspond. Play costs are calculated from a variety of industry sources including the PSAC Well Cost Study. See Cost Data.
Drilling and Completion Cost per Meter
( D & C cost/m)
The average cost per meter to drill and complete a given well. Drilling and completion costs are assigned to each well event based on the play to which they correspond. Play costs are calculated from a variety of industry sources including the PSAC Well Cost Study. See Cost Data.
Cost ($) Depending on the class of the well, the total cost is calculated by taking the D&A cost/m or the D&C cost/m and multiplying by the total depth of the well.
Cost per BOE ($/boe) The total drilling costs for the well divided by the total reserve expectations (i.e. ultimate recoverable reserves).
