| UWI |
Unique Well Identifier. The bottom hole location of a well as reported by one of four provincial governments. |
| Rig Release |
The date on which all drilling operations are completed and the contractor is released from the well site. |
| Number of Completions |
All wells in a data set excluding dry and abandoned service and locations. |
| Field |
The name of the field the well has been assigned to as reported by one of four provincial governments. |
| Pool |
A natural underground reservoir containing an accumulation of oil or gas or both, separated or appearing to be separated from any other such accumulation. |
| Operator |
Generally, the operator listed in the government data where recent corporate acquisitions have resulted in a change of operatorship it has been modified on a “best efforts basis”. |
