Location searches may be general, "Province = BC" or very specific, "Province = AB, Twp = 59, Rge = 1, Mer = 5." Any number of parameters may be entered.
In order for the search to work correctly, the format specified below each box must be followed. Wherever possible, dropdown menus are provided to simplify the process.
Search capabilities can also be increased through the use of modifiers. For example, to search by range enter the starting point, then ..., the the end point, i.e. : "Twp = 50...55." Alternatively, "Twp = >50" would search every township north of 50. For a complete list of modifiers see Search Modifiers at the end of this section.
Search capabilities can also be increased through the use of multiple records. This enables cross meridian searches and searches of non-rectangular and non-continuous areas. To learn how to search using multiple records see Compound Searches.
